Testing Anomaly Induced Actions using CFT in momentum space
byClaudio Corianò
Abstract:Conformal field theory in momentum space provides the general framework for investigating effects of conformal and chiral anomalies in parity even and parity odd conformal correlators. The connection of the momentum space formalism with gravity is defined by the conformal anomaly effective action. This action summarizes the conformal Ward identities of the flat space correlators in a general framework, and it accounts for the conformal anomaly. We are going to illustrate the relation between conformal anomaly actions, the Conformal Ward identities constraining the CFT correlators, and the so-called “anomaly induced actions”. An analysis of 4-point functions derived from such actions appears to be inconsistent with the perturbative result. These investigations find application in very different areas of physics, from topological insulators to non-local gravity and Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theories.
